The launcher

Ludopia, on your desktop

One app, the whole library. Each game opens in its own window, keeps its size and its session, and counts your playing time — no browser in the way.

Download

Pick your system

The launcher is free, with no account and no advertising. It weighs about a hundred megabytes — most of it the rendering engine it ships with.

Windows

Version 2.9.2 — 90 Mo. Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. Installs for the current user, no administrator rights needed.

Download for Windows

macOS

Building for macOS requires a Mac — it is coming. Meanwhile the games install to the Dock straight from Safari.

Soon

Linux

The AppImage will ship alongside the macOS build.

Soon

The launcher is not code-signed yet: Windows and macOS will show an “unknown publisher” warning the first time. That is expected, and signing will come.

What it adds

Why an app rather than a tab

The games are the same ones — the web versions, updated continuously. The launcher changes how you reach them.

01

A library, not bookmarks

All four worlds in one place, with their current state: online, being played, or still on the workbench. The catalogue updates itself — a new game shows up without reinstalling anything.

02

Each game in its own window

Villopia opens wide, World Blocks and Tradopia in phone shape. Every window remembers its size and position, and keeps its session: no signing in again on every launch.

03

Your playing time

The launcher counts the hours spent on each title, the number of launches and the date of the last session. It all stays on your machine — nothing is sent anywhere.

04

No address bar

Full screen with F11, reload with Ctrl+R, back to the library with Ctrl+Shift+L. Outside links open in your usual browser, never inside the game window.

Phone and tablet

On iPhone, iPad and Android it already works

Our three live games are installable web apps. No store, no 200 MB download: the icon lands on your home screen and the game opens full screen, with no browser chrome.

iPhone and iPad

Open the game in Safari, tap Share then Add to Home Screen. Safari is required: on iOS, other browsers are not allowed to install a web app.

Android

Open the game in Chrome. An Install app prompt appears at the bottom of the screen; otherwise use the ⋮ menu then Install app.

The launcher in numbers

What these numbers are worth

Everything below comes from the public repository: these are GitHub's own counters, not estimates. The launcher itself sends nothing back — sessions and hours played stay on each player's machine.

Questions

What you are about to ask

No. The games stay hosted online and update continuously — you always play the latest version, with no patch to install. The launcher is the window, not the game.

Yes, to play. The launcher tells you which games are responding before you click, and it checks again on its own when the network comes back.

Yes. Code signing costs a yearly certificate we have not bought yet. On the SmartScreen notice, click More info then Run anyway.

No, they are two separate sessions. If you have an account on a game, sign in once inside the launcher: it will keep the session afterwards.

No. Playing time, window positions and language are written to a file on your machine. No statistics are sent to Ludopia.
